Do you think there's any way the TV licence people can actually detect that you're watching live TV if you're watching it online through an unofficial livestream?
Technically possible? Yes
Would they invest the time and resource to do so? Unlikely
I really doubt the TVLA have the right to track your internet activity without any warrant. If they did, that would very likely put them in breach of some privacy laws and I don't see how they would be allowed to use that data as evidence in court.
